A Note From the Teacher

Happy Spring...Almost! The first official day of spring is this Sunday, March 20. The weather has been beautiful despite the pollen. Maybe the expected rain tomorrow will wash some away.

In class this week, we have been discussing the wonderful Month of March and the upcoming spring season. We have read two books: The Wind Blew by Pat Hutchins and It Looked Like Spilt Milk by Bernard Shaw. Then during work time, we painted beautiful kites and wrote stories about their travels. I will be posting pictures of these on the Seesaw accounts next week.

Also next week, we will move to discussing the life cycles of butterflies. This is always a very fun unit. In addition to this unit, we will of course be building upon all of our math skills. We are adding and subtracting, composing and decomposing numbers, and MUCH MORE!

Please don't forget that next Friday is our all day Field Day!! Please have your child wear his/her super hero shirt on Friday!

Thank you as always for all your help and support! Have a great weekend!
