Of Mice and Men

NOVEL SUMMARY
During the great depression, two young men named named George Milton and Lennie Small are on their way to work on a ranch in Salinas Valley. On their way we realize that Lennie has mental disabilities and that George has the position his caretaker. Part of Lennie's disability is his memory but he always remembers he and George's plan to get their own place.
Lennie Small
A man with a strong and large frame that has mental disabilities and is unable to control his immense strength.
George Milton
A short and slender man that is more mentally string than physically.
Candy
An old man with one hand that befriends Lennie and George. He also plans on buying a farm with the two formally mentioned characters.
Theme Analysis
Reoccurring Themes
Of Mice and Men's reoccurring themes his the feeling of not wanting to be alone. This is shown within the first few pages of the novella when George doesn't send Lennie on his own.
