Family Math and Literacy Night is Back!

Save the date! Family Math and Literacy Night on the Farm is coming up! Join us Tuesday, October 18, from 4:30 p.m. until dusk at Red Wagon Farm. This popular family tradition continues- mark your calendars and checkout the flyer and sign-up below if you plan to attend.

If you have a high schooler: high school volunteers are welcome, and can earn volunteer hours. If interested please email: krumes@clsdraiders.org

HALLOWEEN AT COPOPA

On October 28th, we will have our classroom Halloween celebrations.

Below is important information for students and parents on this day.


  1. Students will be allowed to wear costumes on the day of the party.

  • Please remember that dressing up is always optional

  • Students should come to school dressed in his/her costume

  • No changing in and out of costumes at school will be permitted


  1. To ensure a fun, safe and educational day, costume rules are as follows:

  • Students must be able to participate in classroom activities, special areas (gym, art, music, library, tech) recess and lunch with no restrictions due to costumes. (no blow-up costumes, please)

  • No weapons of any kind are allowed (NO swords, guns, knives, grenades, etc.)

  • Props, like wands, are allowed. However, props MUST fit inside the book bag for easy transport to and from school

  • NO full-face masks are allowed. Face paint pertaining to the costume is allowed in moderation

  • Please remember age appropriateness for your child’s costume


  1. Weather Permitting Parade:

  • If the weather permits, the K-4 students will have a small parade around Columbia Park and Copopa

  • Approximate time will be 2:45 p.m

  • Parents may attend and will remain outside of the school for the parade

  • Parents may park at Columbia Park or in a marked space at Copopa

  • Please refrain from blocking roads or crosswalks. Do NOT park in the bus loop in front of Copopa and the middle school. Buses need to be able to load and leave without difficulty.

  • If it is raining, unfortunately, we will not have a parade


  1. Classroom Celebrations:

  • All classes will have a celebration in their homeroom; (The time is determined by the grade level teachers based on lunch and recess schedule. All parties will not occur at the same time.)

  • A treat and drink will be provided by the PTO

  • Parent helpers will be arranged by the PTO

  • Maximum number of parents per classroom is 3 helpers

  • Please make sure your child’s teacher is aware of any food allergies
