Prairie Elementary News

From the Principal: Kristen Jones

An Amazing Week!!

WOW! What a wonderful start to the month of October! Our Prairie Panthers have been engaging in two enrichment activities that have allowed their creativity to shine!

  • Thanks to our PTA for providing Art in the Garden yesterday and today! I am creating a slideshow of photos for our families to enjoy. You will be impressed with how our students "came together" to create art! Click here to check out this video by Madison Loughlin explaining each of the projects students completed. Be sure to walk through the garden over the next couple of weeks to admire our works of art!
  • Students also engaged in virtual projects led by StoneLion Puppet Theatre. These projects allowed our students to interact with an artist to create art as well as learn valuable lessons about taking care of our planet. Kindergarten & 4th graders will participate next week!
  • Students also participated in an activity with their classes to create this giant #1 on our window (see photo below)! Each student wrote their name on an individual #1 and shared how they can make a difference by being an "upstander." "It Only Takes One to Make a Difference!!"

Parent/Teacher Conferences: 10/21 & 10/22

Please be sure to sign up for a time to conference with your child's teacher. Teachers have times available the evening of 10/21 and all day on 10/22.
