Principal's Pen

Dear Bishop Baraga Trekkers,

This promises to be a very busy and exciting week! We have our All Saints' Day Festival this Friday, which should be a fun day for everyone. Students should come to school that day dressed in their saint costumes. We have Mass at 8:00 a.m., and the students will have a procession into the church. Students may dress down on Friday so that they can wear non-uniform clothes under their costumes. We are in need of a few items for the festival on Friday. Please watch for a sign-up on SchoolSpeak.

If you are wondering what to do about a saint costume, check out the two links below. There are many simple ideas here for costumes.

We had our first Parent Association meeting last week. I am so grateful for all those who attended and have volunteered to serve on our PA. We have a fantastic group of parents who will be working to provide extracurricular opportunities for our students and staff. Anyone can join us! Please consider attending one of our monthly meetings to see if you would like to get involved in any of our activities. Meeting dates and times will be posted on SchoolSpeak.

Our Parent Association Members are:

President: Rebecca Couper

Vice President: Elissa Howe

Secretary: Claire Schroeder

Treasurer: Kellie Davis

Voting Members: Joel Stanchina, Stephanie Ammerman, Ashley Kujala, Heather Ellis, and Angela Oller

Non-Voting Members: Alexandra Kirsenlohr, Megan Simms, Laura Murawski, Alexis Whaley, Jessie Ammerman, and Tammie Goldschmidt.

I am so excited to work with the Parent Association to bring activities and enrichment opportunities to our students and faculty.

Our Caught Being a Christian Award this week goes to Rebecca Cameron. Rebecca shared her good behavior tickets with a new student so that the new student could get a prize. She was practicing the virtue of generosity. Great job, Rebecca!

Have a wonderful week!

Angela Oller

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 4th. We have a noon dismissal that day and conferences will be held in the afternoon. You will need to sign up for a time to meet with your teacher(s) on SchoolSpeak. Watch for those sign-ups in your class section on SchoolSpeak.

Third Grade Art

Third graders this week learned about lines and how to create pictures using different types of lines. Each student drew their picture using straight, curved, and even squiggly lines. Don't those look amazing!
