May Newsletter
Hey Ladies...
I apologize, I know this is well overdue. As you all know, I lost my Father on May 1st. I have always been a Daddy's Girl & losing him has been the hardest thing I've ever experienced. I want to Thank You all for your kind words, your Prayers, the dinners, the calls, the texts. It truly meant so much.
I started with Thirty-One 3 years ago this July. I needed some time out of the home, I had been a stay at home Mom for 5 years at the time. I had lost myself, and relationships with other women. I really thought I would do a couple Parties, just enough to stay active. We were ok financially, not great, but the bills were paid. But we were living paycheck to paycheck and there was no extra's.
9 months later, my family had some events that really changed us financially & all the sudden we really needed the extra income. My dad had also recently been diagnosed with Cancer for the 7th time, although this time, we knew treatment wasn't going to be as easy as in the past. My team had been growing as well as my business. I was able to confidently make the decision to Promote to Director, knowing that would bring in the extra income my family needed but that I could also still work around my Dad's schedule. My mom worked still and My dad would need a ride to chemo regularly, not to mention, the time I just wanted to spend with my Dad. Several months into the Chemo, my Dad had a toxic reaction to the Chemo. We almost lost him then. He survived, but did lose his Kidney functions, so from then on, he had to start having Dialysis Treatments 3 times a week. Again, he needed me even more.
For the past year and a half, I have been able to Provide my Family with the extra $1500-$2000 monthly that my Family needed financially, yet also be there for my Dad. I am so Blessed and so Thankful to be able to tell you, I never had to tell my Dad, '"no I cant be there to take you to Dialysis", or Chemo, or even lunch. Yep, I never even turned down Lunch. My Dad always loved going out for Lunch, so for the last year and a half, I've had lunch with my Dad every day during the week. We truly made the most of every moment given to us. I was always able to work my job, around my Family, especially my Dad. I didn't know I was going to lose him, just 2 weeks before he passed, his Dr's had said they thought they would be able to continue treating his cancer. It was a huge shock when we lost him, but what helps more than anything, is knowing I made the most of every bit of time I had with him.
This is the Gift that Thirty-One & YOU, MY TEAM, has given me. This is the Gift that I will never be able to repay.
When I tell you that I love my Job and that I love my Team, please don't ever think I am just saying that... I really mean it.
If there's a time when you think I push too much, please know that I only want to give back to you, what Thirty-One and YOU, have given me.
Thank You.
Your Incredibly Grateful Director,
Mary
