Monday Musings

Weekly Update for Douglas Staff - January 11, 2016

The week ahead...

So THIS is what January and Winter are supposed to feel like...We were spoiled with the mild temps prior to break! The plethora of activities this week will keep us all moving and warmed up in the frigid temperatures.

Thank you to everyone who is contributing ideas, time preparing and/or baking, physical presence and providing opportunities for families, and positive promotion to our Family Literacy Night - Snow if Falling! Books are Calling! - taking place this Thursday night. Even if you haven't signed up, you are welcome to join us...the more the merrier! Please contact Amy Marchant or sign up on the fridge in the lounge if you would like to help out. As the date approaches, please pump the event up to your students - there will be fun for all ages at the event.

Finally, I hope you all had meaningful conversations with your teams over the past week - following our staff meeting. The PLC Planning Team will be meeting later this month (Monday, Jan. 18th) to gather feedback and plan forward as we further our development as collaborative teams focusing on student learning.

Have a great week, everyone!
