On Tuesday, Finance experts from Valdur will visit Area 31 for Financial Coaching for startups where, the startups get an opportunity to meet the experts to discuss their finance related issues, business models and funding requirements. On Thursday we continue with our weekly pitch slam, Venture Network Weeklies. Do not miss the opportunity to network with investors and entrepreneurs over beers! Financial Coaching for Startups

Area 31 is organizing a private coaching session with Financial experts from Valdur. The startups will meet the experts in the Field of Finance and discuss the issues related to their respective starts-ups. Please note, this is a private event for the Startups in the Incubator and Venture Lab. The time slots have already been allocated to the teams on first come basis.
Venture Network Weeklies

Join us for another round of Venture Network Weeklies this week. Come see startups give a 7-minute pitch in English, hear feedback from the panel of investors, ask the startups your own questions, and meet the local startup community. This weekly event is an informal way to learn and network with people from within and outside of IE while enjoying a beer from our sponsor, Heineken.

MVP Workshop – Design your App and Make it Grow!

Do you have an startup idea but you have "nothing" to show? Do not know where to start? If you have knowledge on the lots about economy, or code, but nothing about design or app developing... This workshop is for you! During this workshop you'll learn the design basics needed to develop and design your first app views, and later make a first prototype, to be able to show your app to anyone and even get some investors to get interested! Startup School: Tetuan Valley
Deadline: October 10th, 2016
After 14 editions of startup school program, Tetuan Valley Startup School is in Campus Madrid! Tetuan Valley is a Startup pre-accelerator in Google Campus, which offers a program of 6 weeks for entrepreneurs. Here, the selected entrepreneurs will get an opportunity to work closely with mentors specialized in their respective sectors to develop their business ideas. Learn more here.
Innovation Cheque
Innovation Cheque is an initiative by the Madrid Community. Their objective is to finance innovation projects of small companies that are developed by third parties, thus encouraging the use of services innovation in SMEs for hiring with Technology Centers, Universities and Research Organizations involving a transfer of knowledge of scientific, technological or innovative nature. Amount of aid is up-to € 11,000 (repayable) open until funds are exhausted.

IE Alumni Claudio Schlegel: Entrepreneur of the Year by EY Mexico
Area 31 interviewed IE Alumni Claudio Schlegel, named Entrepreneur of the Year 2016 by EY Mexico. He shared with us his story and his life as an entrepreneur. He built an organization that would focus on igniting development at the bottom of the pyramid not only through credit but through a development platform that englobes education and training; health services; women empowerment and developing business opportunities such as micro franchises products.
