Database Details

We always want to encourage students to use our district databases for research. To locate our database page, click HERE.

Did you know LISD libraries recently added PEBBLE GO as a database? It is intended for grades K-3 but take a will be a great resource for many students. You will love the videos, activities, citation tools, audio text, and more! Topics of information include animals, science, biographies, and social studies.

Britannica is also a new addition for our district. This replaces World Book Online.

Facts4Me has been upgraded to now include access for students from home.

To find database login information, click HERE.
Please share with students and parents so they can access these from home.

We have eBooks...And more to come!

You probably know about OverDrive but did you know we have Capstone eBooks too? They are both great resources but have different features.

OverDrive is our district's digital library available to all students and staff. There are currently over 2,300 titles to choose from. All you (and students) have to do is log in with your standard district login. You can download books, place holds, and more. Check it out if you haven't done so yet!

Capstone eBooks were added at the end of last year and these are specific to our Parkside Library. Click here for online books. We currently have 33 titles, mostly geared towards PreK-2nd, but we will continually add titles. Take a look - they are multi user, easy to access and use (even on the iPads), text is read aloud, and a great alternative to TumbleBooks. The username is parksd and the password is books.
