Message from Administration
Dear NMES Families,
Thank you for participating in our parent-teacher conferences. We received positive feedback about conferences from staff and families. Below are some comments shared:
- From a staff member: "It was wonderful to have the time to talk with families and share their child's strengths, needs and response to the reading intervention. Families were supportive and asked about ways they can help at home."
- From a parent: "My husband hadn't yet met our child's teacher so it was good for both of us to hear about how things are going this year and how we can help at home."
- From a staff member: "The timing of conferences was good. I had time to get to know each individual student academically, socially and behaviorally which allowed me to share specific information with families."
- From a parent: "The teacher was so informative and excited to share about our child. It made us feel good to know how much care and support students get at NMES."
We appreciate the two-way communication that conferences allow and encourage all families to stay in touch with their children's teachers so that our students continue to meet with success.
The holiday season will be upon us before we know it. While a busy part of the year, it can also be a time to remind us to slow down and think about what we are grateful for. As the administrators of NMES, we are grateful to serve such a caring community, to work alongside dedicated staff and to support our students in their school journey.
Dr. Lockard - Principal
Mrs. McGaha - Assistant Principal

- Adam Horner - Evening Custodian

Supporting our Young Wolves
To support our Young Wolves still at home, we are sharing an idea to support their development.
Point out the traffic lights to your child and ask them to count how many red lights you see. Green lights? Green AND red? Your child is practicing early math skills and using working memory to hold all of the different numbers and colors in their mind.
