Big picture

Ms. Aitken will retire this June ~

After 36 years in the district and 33 years as a classroom teacher at Brewster-Pierce,

Barb Aitken, 4th grade teacher, has decided to retire in June.

Barb has made a tremendous impact on the lives of hundreds of students over her career.

Her love of inquiry, science, social studies and math is evident in the learning in her classroom every day; Barb is the master of integrating content.

Her dedication and commitment to her students

and the BPMS community is obvious in all that she does.

Barb's infectious laugh and willingness to try just about anything,

along with her incredible teaching will be missed!

We cannot think of a more deserving person to move on from her teaching career

to the many adventures that lie ahead!
