Catechesis of the Good Shepherd

Level I Course begins June 20

Level I Course begins in Philadelphia on June 20

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is based upon the belief that young children can and do experience God. In this faith formation method (for ages 3-12), the catechist serves the mystery of God and the child and listens to God with the children.

The Level I course prepares an adult to serve children ages 3-6. It is also a refreshing spiritual formation for the adult.

Founded on the pedagogical principles of Maria Montessori, with the child at the center of learning, the catechesis is rooted in the Bible and liturgy. Central to the catechesis is the atrium, a special environment created to nurture the child’s spirituality with beautiful handmade materials.

In the atrium the children grow in their relationship with God, in community with one another, in the Presence of Jesus to them in the church....and they need the support of adults who want to grow in understanding of the mystery of God and the child.

If you hear a call from the Good Shepherd, come. Details of course here.
