COVID Positivity Case Daily Report
November 17th, 2020
This report will represent the number of individual positive cases for COVID-19. This report will be issued daily and be broken down by school. for cases reported on the previous day.
Please remember that each COVID-19 case refers to a staff member, student, or family member and we must remain vigilant as a school community. The 2nd wave is clearly present within our state and nation with cases cresting over 140,000 and 3,000 daily cases. Our collective health and safety is a community responsibility. Please exercise precautions to protect your friends, family members and the greater community.
Individual privacy and confidentiality restrictions prevent us from sharing specific details. Our nurses work with representatives from the Health Department to determine the individual's close contact. A "close contact" has been redefined by the CDC and the New Jersey Department of Health. Please see the explanation below from the New Jersey Department of Health:
Anyone determined to be a close contact, based on the investigation completed will be notified by the district.
South Brunswick High School
Two remote students tested positive. They were previously quarantined as a direct contact of a positive family member. These students have not been at school or school activities and there was no need for any contact tracing.
Transportation Department
A member of our staff tested positive. This staff member was previously quarantined due to a COVID positive family member. They have not been at work and there was no need for any contact tracing.
