News from this week
Dear Parents,
Dear Parents,
It was so nice to meet with you to discuss your child's progress. I am proud of each and every one of the students for working so hard this first 9 weeks. I will be sending home progress reports the second week in October. We will meet again in February for student conferences. If you would like to meet with me before then just let me know.
We will be taking our District Assessments that cover the first 9 weeks of instruction in the areas of Reading, Math, Science, and SS over the next few weeks. Please see the important dates section below. We also have several tests next week, including Division and Word Problems and European Explorers.
I sent home the Explorers study guide today with the students. Please sign it so I can make sure you have seen it. I also sent home 2 math sheets with my Math students to help them practice the word problems and division. I told them it is not homework, but it would be very beneficial for them to do. Please try to do them with your child to help them review for the test. The study guide will come home on Monday as a homework assignment. I encouraged the kids to start studying this weekend for both tests so that they are better prepared when it comes time to take them. Please help them study as well. You all are doing a great job of helping your child at home and I truly appreciate that!
Morning Math sessions are every Tuesday at 7:15 AM. I will review for the upcoming test during this Tuesday's session.
Information about this year's Reflections entries is listed under Important Info.
Have a great weekend!

Message from Dr. Barlow
Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s),
The Gwinnett County Public School System is committed to providing students with the best possible education and school experience. We recognize, however, that there is always room for growth and improvement. An excellent way for us to determine how to improve is by asking you. Your response is especially important because you can help us determine where improvements are needed. Please take a few minutes to complete the RBES Parent Survey located on the Parent Portal from September 25, 2017 through November 3, 2017. If you need a paper copy of the survey in English or Spanish, please notify your child's teacher. Thank you for taking the time to help us with this important survey. Your participation now will help us to provide even better educational experiences in the future.
Sincerely,
Dr. Barlow
Principal
