Work is love made visible ~ Kahlil Gibran
A big thank you to those involved in doing the first step in formulating a plan for our classroom and staff assignments next year. I can't believe how much easier this makes the process for me - should have thought of it earlier. I am still impressed by the large number of students (41) that we will be sending back to local districts - way to go!
Mary Rickard and I had a very good discussion this week with a Head Start group about planning for children with disabilities. Their grant does offer support for students with IFSP's and IEP's and we welcome the opportunity to work with them to help increase their capacity to support these students. We will have a small group from Head Start coming to the SESC-South building this next week (on Tuesday) to help determine useful supports for their classrooms. I am very pleased that they are coming to the best source for that information. Thank you in advance for the excellent examples of adaptive supports you will demonstrate in the natural course of the day.
I attached the list of U of M students (Jennifer Lee's group) with their teacher assignments on the back of the certificated staff meeting agenda but forgot to mention it. I have extra copies, so see me if you don't have yours. I made the assignements so that no teacher has more than 2 students. The students will be responsible for contacting you and arranging a time for observation.
Breaking news!
The mystery picture below belongs to one of our staff. I was going to make it a contest to see if you could figure out what the picture is about and who it belongs to, but then I noticed the name is displayed on it. Congratulations to Keri Lay on the exciting news. The ultrasound was taken at 8 weeks.
