USA Swimming - Travel Group

USA Swimming challenges swimmers to develop strong fundamentals in training and meets. This opportunity allows additional practice times for swimmers to participate in more meets and allows higher goal setting. The HEAT USA program encourages swimmers to find their niche in the swimming world. Meet locations can range from 10 min away to over 2.5 hours away. If you are looking for additional information, please get in touch with our Head Coach Michaela Rookus at mrookus@hpseagles.net

We will have additional training time on Tuesday evenings from 5:15 p.m. - 7 p.m. and some Fridays after school until 5:30 p.m. In addition, the parents pay a required USA membership fee to USA swimming of $70 and a $60 program fee for additional practices and meets.

Please note USA Swimming is an optional program.

Registration fees associated with USA cover registration costs, coaching fees, and meet fees for USA programs only. Participants MUST also sign up for the HEAT Level they are assigned by coaches in order to practice with HEAT Levels and compete at HEAT meets during the winter and summer seasons. There are also per-event costs for the USA meets.

Out of State Meets

All out-of-state meet costs will get shared among the participants signing up for the meet. This includes meet fees, coaches lodging, and coaches transportation.
