The Timeless Beauty of One
Dear GMA School Family,
The crunch of leaves under your feet, the brisk air touching your cheek, the little hand in yours… These are the moments before us, where the trees burst with true hue and invite us to stop and stare in wonder, to notice and linger a while longer.
We are all a part of this interconnected beauty unfolding gently before us, reminding us that we, too, are changing. Likewise, at GMA, we have changed quarters and the newness of the second nine weeks provides new opportunities for growth and development. The dynamics of having new friends on campus is refreshing and generates original perspectives and insight. We are still one school family, one community of learners, yet now differently connected.
Just as the autumn leaves are now unveiling their true colors, these past nine weeks, it has been pure joy witnessing the children reveal their inner personalities, styles, and passions. Their joy, carefree love and adventure, their curiosity and exploration with the world is innately there. And still, all of the students, so uniquely created, so profound and full of potential, are intricately connected with one another, just like the Montessori materials themselves.
As we head into fall break, please pause and notice. Revel in the joy and passion of your child. Celebrate the differences in one another and the strengths you bring when together as a family. Dr. Maria Montessori noticed. She saw, and she created. She continues to challenge each of us to celebrate the interconnectedness of it all, to be true to our own personal nature, to wake up to the beauty before us and enjoy each precious moment; all one, yet many; all different, but equal, the timeless beauty of one!
As always, thank you for your partnership~ wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful fall break!

Words Come Alive 10/30: Dictionary Day
Dictionary Day is held in honor of Noah Webster, the man who is considered to have fathered the American Dictionary. It is typically celebrated October 16, but GMA will be celebrating words on 10/30.
Dictionary Day encourages students to improve the way they speak and write by enhancing and expanding their vocabulary. Friday, October 30, vocabulary words will come alive, as students dress as a word. Each class will partner with another class to share their words, parts of speech, definitions, and the words used in a sentence. We can't wait to see the words come alive!
Ahhhh~ a good book!
