Ask for Help: Don't Cheat!
Copying code that you did not write without giving credit to the author is plagiarism! Coding can be frustrating, especially when you can't get your program to work. What can you do? Please email me. I am here to help you. The best thing to do is to provide me with your code along with all error messages. I will help you solve the problem using your own logic. This way you will best prepare you for the tests and quizzes. Students who turn in plagiarized work rarely pass tests and quizzes.
Check News Items!
I frequently post tips, tricks, and help videos in the news. Make sure you are looking at the news every day.
Watch for 1% Grades
A 1% usually means your submission needs revision before I grade it. Check these weekly. If you don't make the changes within a week, I will grade the submission as is. Once graded, you cannot submit the revisions for credit.
AP Course Guide
This course is new to the AP line-up and there is a lot to learn. The multiple choice part of the AP exam count only 60% of your final score. You will also be asked to do 2 tasks. We have been practicing for these tasks through your assignments. View the AP bulletin for more information. This document is your best resource for the AP Exam.
Help Videos
In addition to class recording, you can find help videos for assignments in the news feed. Be sure to watch these videos before submitting your assignments!
Office Hours
Take advantage of AP CSP office hours. If you can't attend the live session, please email me questions and then view the recording. You may also find historical recordings to be helpful. These can be found in the "links" widget in BrightSpace.
