A BIG thanks to Mrs. Peterson for an amazing Christmas program! She worked so hard with our students, and they did an amazing job!
Our campus Science Fair is tomorrow and we are all excited to view the different science boards and ideas that our students have come up with this year!
Don't forget that next Friday is our Early Release Day! Students will be dismissed at 11:55, and must be picked up by 12:25!
The end of the 2nd nine weeks and semester is also next week. Report cards will go home after we return from Christmas Break!
Continue to encourage your student to work hard and finish the semester in a strong way!
Thanks for all you do!

Parent Observations
From Our Specials Teachers:
Computer:Here is a link (web address) to a keyboarding game that you can use with your students at home. This game is intended for those who need to familiarize themselves with where the letter keys are located on the key pad. http://www.abcya.com/keyboarding_practice.htm
Here is a list of other fun and educational typing games your students can use to practice at home:http://www.learninggamesforkids.com/keyboarding_games.html
https://www.typingclub.com/ This website has levels and is great for those who want to learn proper typing. Simply type out each character in the website and you should get the exact website needed.
Library:1st grade students will have the pleasure to take their library books home, after we return from our winter break. This is new and exciting for them all. I will express the importance of caring for our books, turning library books back in on time, as well as keeping our library books in a SAFE place at home. Parents: please join me as a team to teach your child to care for our Life School library and books. Together we are building strong readers and great imaginations!
PE: Doing jumping jacks or crunches during television commercials or dancing while washing the dishes, burns extra calories and keeps you from mindlessly munching in front of the TV.
Music: Our holiday QuaverNote code is now live! Here’s a special code – CrayCrayChristmas – you and your students can use, which will give each account 100 QuaverNotes! Below are instructions to redeem the code:
- Go to QuaverMusic.com
- On the Log In window, click the “Click Here!” button next to “Have a special Quaver Code?”
- Then enter the Quaver Code (CrayCrayChristmas) and click the “Enter” button.
Your students have until January 15, 2017 to enter the code, but the QuaverNotes will not expire.
November Teacher & Staff Member of the Month
This is Mr. Gates’ 3rd year at LSRO. He is our wonderful math special education teacher. Mr. Gates works tirelessly to help all our students succeed in math. He is a father of three, and expecting a new bundle in 2017. He is flexible with meeting the needs of our students, and works well with all staff members. Thank you for all you do for our Mustang family. We couldn’t do it without you, Mr. Gates!
Mrs. Keathley has been a Mustang for 4 years now. She has worked as an instructional aide, and now works hard as one of our receptionists. Mrs. Keathley works hard to secure subs, order supplies, and publish our weekly Thursday Exchange. She is always willing to lend a helping hand, and is always ready to put a smile on someone’s face. She is a mother of two who enjoys crafting and spending time with her daughters. Mrs. Keathley works harder than we realize, and we appreciate all her dedication.
