Continue the Child Protection Unit from Second Step at Home!

The goal of the Child Protection Unit is to develop staff, adult caregiver, and student knowledge and skills for protecting students from unsafe and abusive situations both in and out of the classroom. This curriculum is the district adopted curriculum that has been taught at WES for many years and it is very tastefully done with common concepts and verbiage that crosses many concepts. This unit covers the following topics: Ways to Stay Safe; Always Ask First Rule; Safe & Unsafe Touches; The Touching Rule and Practicing Staying Safe.
