Annual Diocesan Survey
Our school is always trying improve its ability to serve our mission. As part of the improvement process, we annually collect survey data from our stakeholder groups (parents, staff, and students). Your opinion about the performance of our school is important to us and so we ask that you click on the link below and take the time to complete this important survey. The survey was designed by AdvancEd, our accreditation association, that serves public and non-public schools.
Some items on the survey use ‘school leadership’. When you see ‘school leadership’, you should think of the principal. Some items use ‘school governing body’. When you see ‘school governing body’, you should think of the ‘Pastor and Principal’ as a team.
Thanks for giving your time in completing this important survey and giving us an opportunity to learn and grow!

Parent Volunteers
I'm a mother of four. I get it. I don't have the time or energy to volunteer at my child's school for every single event he has. However, I can do "some" things that don't necessarily require me to be there all the time.
We really need our parent volunteers in order to keep doing the fun filled events that create the family atmosphere that St. Patrick is famous for having. I'm asking you to give some thought about how you can volunteer your time to our school.
Maybe joining the School Advisory Council is something in which you'd be interested. Our council currently has openings and we are looking for people who are willing to jump in, help determine the needs of our school, and work hard to ensure those needs are met. Meetings are only held once per quarter, and most other communication is done via email.
One of the easiest ways to volunteer is to start by attending a PTO meeting. Our next meeting is January 14th at 6:00pm. At the meeting, you can hear about all the great things the PTO does for our school and you can find different ways to volunteer that really won't take up much of your time! Plus, you'll be able to make connections with other parents, share ideas, and build a stronger connection with school.
We are constantly in need of getting the word out about what a hidden gem St. Patrick School is and engaging the community to enroll more students in our ECC and in our school. Perhaps you'd be willing to take a stack of flyers to your child's dance or baseball practice. Maybe you'd be willing to talk to people in your neighborhood and invite them to come take a tour of the school.
If you're attending mass each week, maybe you'd be willing to sit at a table in the gathering space to talk to parishioners about St. Patrick School and invite them to come take a tour. It's a great way to meet more people and spread the word about the unique opportunity tithing parishioners have to send their child to our school.
Whatever or however you are willing to help, please know that you are needed! It takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a small army to maintain the high standards of community that we have at St. Patrick School.
If you are willing to volunteer, please attend the PTO meeting on January 14. If you're unable to attend, but are interested in any of the other ideas (or have an idea of your own) feel free to send me an email at kmonaghan@stpatrickkc.com and I will put you in touch with the people who can help you find a way to get involved!
2020-2021 Registration is Coming!
Do you know someone with an incoming kindergarten student? Why not set up a "shadow" day where that student joins our kindergarten for a couple of hours to get a full experience of kindergarten at St. Patrick School?
We know that the best marketing is word of mouth, and we appreciate our families who are out there encouraging others to check us out! Remember, if you invite a family to visit our school and then end up enrolling, you receive a $200 discount on your registration fees!
