  • A drama is a story enacted onstage for a live audience.
  • The main characters could be anyone, even something small that plays a big part
  • Always a conflict in the story
  • Needs an audience to understand the story
  • Many different types of stages. (audience all around,on the sides, or in front)

Modern Drama

  • Usually focuses on personal issues.
  • Usually about ordianry people.
  • May be a tragedy or comedy, maybe even both.
  • Often experiment with unconvintional plot structures
