United Way Campaign-Homeroom Challenge

Our school goal is $2,500. Our staff has already contributed almost $1,800. We want to extend this to the rest of our Panthers (students) to contribute to help us to exceed our goal. Panther Nation raised $3011.76 with $$991.60 total in our homeroom challenge.

The highest contributing 7th and 8th-grade homerooms will celebrate with a pizza party, cupcakes, and drinks. Our 7th-grade homeroom class winner is Mr. Rice's class who donated $213.00 and Mrs. Williams' 8th-grade homeroom class winner donated $151.00.

We have lived up to the Panther Way by being of service to our community. Thanks for your contributions.

Calendar Change

At a special called School Board meeting Monday, November 8, the School Board approved changes to the current school calendar. November 22 and November 23 will now be student and staff holidays. January 3 will be a student holiday and a staff workday. The January 31 staff workday will be a remote workday.

Cellular Phones/Electronic Devices

•Cellular phones, electronic devices (including watches with texting/calling capabilities) and headphones are not to be displayed or used during the school day. Electronic devices should be off and out of view. Unauthorized use of cell phones or electronic devices will result in disciplinary action. The school is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of cell phones or electronic devices.

•Classrooms will have a PARK IT, PACK IT, PLUG IT policy. Students may PARK their cellphones in a provided cell phone sleeve located in the classroom, PACK their phone into their bookbag, purse or pocket, or PLUG their phone into the charging stations.

•If students are unable to abide by the SMS Cell Phone Policy, communication will be made home. Continued failure to follow the SMS Cell Phone Policy may result in your child’s cell phone being placed in the principal’s cell phone jail safely until parents/guardians are available to recover the phone from the school.


YELLOW zone - teacher discretion (classrooms)

GREEN zone - acceptable place to use device (lunch courtyard - which must be earned)

RED zone - no cellphones at all (all other locations)

In case of an emergency, please contact the front office (757-365-4100) and we will make sure that your child is informed.

(1) Ordering: online ordering ONLY. Add-on items can ONLY be ordered with a package, NOT a-la-carte. Add-on items will become visible after a package is selected.

(2) Password: Your password is your child's student ID number. You MUST "allow cookies" in your web browser to access your photos. To view siblings, click "add another password" and enter an additional student ID number.

(3) Photo Delivery: Photo orders will ship in the mail to the address you provide a few weeks after you place your order. Photos will NOT ship to the school. A nominal shipping charge will apply for orders with physical products.
