Holy Cross Catholic School guides each student in developing academic, emotional and physical excellence while spreading the Gospel message as Jesus did, since 1868.
Summer blessing for families
May we make our homes places of relaxation,
joy, love, peace and safety.
May we be generous and considerate,
not thinking only about ourselves,
but helping others enjoy the blessings of the summertime.
Lord God, Creator of all things,
guide our steps and strengthen our hearts
during these months of summer and vacation days.
Grant us refreshment of mind and body.
May we constantly strive to make a meaningful difference
in the lives of our loved ones and in the world around us
as we enjoy the warm days of summertime.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

3rd Place Knights of Columbus State Pro-Life Essay Contest Winner - Lucy DeGroot
Students in grades 7-12 throughout Wisconsin were invited to participate in the Knights of Columbus Pro-Life Essay Contest in which they were promoting the message of supporting life in all stages. Holy Cross' own 7th grader, Lucy DeGroot, placed third in the state in the 7th Grade Division.
In her essay, Lucy wrote,
"On average every year 135,000 kids are blessed with families through adoption. The decision to go through the rollercoaster of adoption is not taken lightly by anyone. Through this gift the birth parents and adoptive parents are giving themselves wholeheartedly to a child in need. Though society has many options out there it is through Catholic Social Teachings that we know life and love are above all."
