Parent volunteers are invited to drop off pre-purchased, individually wrapped food and drink items at the front office. To learn more or to sign up to participate, please sign up here.

Thank you for your volunteer contributions! If you have any questions, please contact Toni Rahn at tonirahn@gmail.com.

Track is Back

Spring track registration opens soon

Join us for another fun-filled spring track season! Registration for the elementary track program will open soon. Athletes will have the chance to learn about and compete in track and field events. We hope to have a great spring of track and field!

  • Practices begin Monday, May 3. The season will conclude by May 27 with a culminating event.

  • The cost of the program is $35 and is available to fifth grade students only. Partial and full scholarships are available.

  • Registrations will be handled by local Parks and Recreation programs. The registration link will be available in the coming weeks.

  • All practices and meets will take place at home schools and COVID-19 protocols will be followed.

  • Athletes will be placed in pods for practice and will be grouped together, meeting either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday immediately after school for approximately one hour.

Transportation will not be provided after practice and meets.

PTA Volunteers Needed for 2021-2022

We have the following positions available for the 2021-2022 school year. The PTA is a great way to get involved at school! Please contact Stefanie at turtlelakepta@gmail.com for additional information.

Grade Level Project: Manage the funds for each of the grade levels K-5. Teachers/staff will submit ideas for a grade level project and you will ensure funding is approved and paid for.

Treasurer: Book Keeper: This position updates our monthly spreadsheet, files taxes and other compliance items in November. The state PTA pays for a website for our taxes so you do not need to know how to file taxes for this position.

Fundraising: This person will assist the 5K team with our new spring fundraiser.

5K Fun Run: Work with the fundraising chairs and current 5K coordinator to implement a new 5K program at our school.

COVID-19 Testing for Students and Families

We strongly encourage all in-person students and their families to get tested for COVID-19 every two weeks through the end of the school year. Students involved in any extracurricular activities or sports should consider getting tested every week.

There are many options to get tested. You can visit a community testing site, get tested through your healthcare provider or order an at-home test kit. All options are quick, easy, and free to you. Find out more about each option here.

Make regular testing part of your routine

Getting tested regularly is the best way to ensure we don’t spread COVID-19. Here are some tips to incorporate regular testing into your regular routine.

  • Mark your calendar with regular testing reminders and bookmark the testing site for easy access.

  • Make testing appointments part of your weekend errands.

  • Make testing appointments a family day and spend time together.
