A Note From Mrs. McNeil
It's hard to believe we are now in the month November! The next two months of school always seem to fly by very quickly! We are excited to host our first ever Book Fair this week. Please remember that the Book Fair is a cashless event. Your student must have an ewallet set up to purchase items. Most of our teachers have also set up ewallets for their classroom libraries. If you are interested in donating to a teacher's ewallet, please reach out to that teacher and help them complete their book wish lists. Our Penny Wars was a fun event last week! I hope you had a chance to see some of our pictures on Facebook. We are excited to celebrate the winning grade level tomorrow. This event raised over $700 for the FCMS Athletic Booster Club. Please support our FCMS PTO by participating in Moe's spirit night Tuesday. This is at the Indian Land Moe's. Basketball tryouts have ended and our teams have been selected. The regular season will be starting soon with our first home game on November 29. This will be our boys teams versus BTMS. Please be sure to purchase your game day tickets in advance as our seating is limited for basketball games and tickets are only available on Go Fan. We will be celebrating our honor roll students this week during FLEX time and continue our One School One Book event Friday. Students will be participating in Veterans day events/lessons within their grade levels Thursday, November 11. On behalf of FCMS, I would like to thank all of our Veterans for serving. We appreciate you.
Have a fantastic week!
Yours In Education,
Christine V. McNeil
1, 2, 3, 4 ... I declare a Penny Wars Champion! The Penny Wars Winning Grade Level is ... Grade 6!
Thank You Veterans
Veterans Day in observed annually on November 11. It is a holiday honoring men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. This day should not be confused with Memorial Day, which honors those who sacrificed their lives while in service. Veterans Day honors all military veterans, including those still with us. We have over 19.5 million veterans currently in the United States. On behalf of the Coyote Family, I would like to extend gratitude to Mr. David Helms and Officer Hiraldo for your service. And, to all of our Coyotes who have family members currently serving or who have served, please know that we are thankful for your loved one’s service as well.
