Fighting Scot News
Feburary 2024
Good Afternoon Highland Families!
As we embrace the month of February, I am excited to share some highlights and updates from our school community. It's been a busy start to the new year, and I am continually impressed by the dedication and resilience of our students, staff, and families.
In this edition of our newsletter, you'll find information about upcoming events, academic achievements, and opportunities for involvement. As always, our goal is to foster a supportive and enriching environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in your child's education journey. Together, we will continue to inspire excellence and make Highland High School a place where all students can reach their fullest potential.
Go Scots!

TEACHER SPOTLIGHT:
This month's teacher in the spotlight will be Mrs. Cahall. Mrs. Cahall’s hometown is Mt. Orab, Ohio. She attended Western Brown high school where she played soccer and tennis, ran track and cross country, and participated in both dance and ROTC. After high school, she attended Shawnee State where she played tennis and obtained her Associate’s degree in business. Mrs. Cahall then attended Ohio Christian where she got her Bachelor degree in Physiology before she went on to get a Masters at Liberty University in Business. Finally, she earned a Master’s at Ohio State University in Career Technical Education.
This is Mrs. Cahall’s second year here at Highland, she teaches Business. She moved from Olentangy to the Highland community where she subbed occasionally until she was offered a job as our business teacher. While Mrs. Cahall loves being a teacher, it hasn’t always been her career path. She was in admissions and marketing, marketing and sales, and title and real estate. Her goal here at highland is to connect with as many students as she can and make sure they feel supported.
Her family is very important to her, she has four wonderful children, and is married to her high school sweetheart, Jerad. They have an abundance of animals ranging from donkeys to geckos. Her life goal is to be the best mom one can possibly be and to achieve and sustain financial peace. Some fun facts about Mrs. Cahall are that donkeys are her favorite animal and spaghetti is her favorite meal. She loves crafting, hiking, being in nature, exercising, thrifting, family, and she loves her hobby farm. One of her biggest heroes is her high school science teacher because out of genuine kindness when Mrs. Cahall was at a low, she really helped her out.
Thank you, Mrs. Cahall!
