OVERVIEW
On Wednesday, February 8, 2017, Grady College welcomed 150 professionals from 53 companies and 392 students and alumni to the annual Journalism and Mass Communication Career Day. This year's event featured our highest student engagement to date! This event connects companies and organizations with students seeking careers in digital, print and broadcast journalism, creative mass media, media sales, film, advertising and public relations. Career Day activities began with a networking breakfast for employers and students, followed by panel discussions, a networking luncheon and a career fair. This event is hosted in collaboration with the Georgia Association of Broadcasters and the University of Georgia Career Center. Check out a few highlights from Career Day 2017 in this newsletter.

NETWORKING MEALS AND PANELS
We kicked off the day's events at 9 a.m. with a networking breakfast in the Peyton Anderson Forum, then directed our students and employers to two panel events in Studio 100. The panels featured advice from our event sponsors on the topics: "Maximizing Your Potential at the Career Fair" and "First 100 Days on the Job." Prior to the career fair at 1 p.m., our employer participants connected with 100 students at our networking luncheon.
