OPTION #1: ALL Activity through eCLASS C&I Tool

Using this option, the assignment is posted in the news item in eCLASS, and students complete their assignment entirely within the eCLASS tool.


Tools Available:

  • Students use their eTextbooks to complete the assignment.
  • Give an interactive Quiz/Assessment in eCLASS C&I.
  • Have students participate in a discussion within eCLASS C&I.
  • Have students post a response on an embedded document, padlet, or other embedded activity.

Assignment to Post in eCLASS News Item (choose one)

____ Read this article (insert link) or textbook section (provide eTextbook locations)

____ Watch this video (flipped classroom or other. Since students are accessing this from home, YouTube videos should be open to them).

Student Assessment (choose one)

____Complete an assignment in the eCLASS assessment tool.

____Post a new thread in the discussion board title "CyberDay." Once you post, reply to 5 other classmates' posts. You may have to revisit later in the day to reply to additional posts.

____Post your feedback on the padlet board posted in the Content (or discussion board. This would require the teacher create the padlet and use embed code to post it in the course content or discussion board).

OPTION #2: Use eCLASS, Web2.0, and/or Apps

Using this option, student view their lesson in an eCLASS news item, create their work using any number of Web2.0 tools or apps for their device, then they turn in their work to you using the eCLASS dropbox. All without required software. Some Web2.0 tools and/or apps may require students to create an account using their email address. Don't forget to reference the Quality + Teaching Strategies chart to access district-suggested tools and apps!

____Post a link to your online project by creating a new thread in the eCLASS discussion board titled "CyberDay"

____ Display your online project using EMBED CODE in a new thread in the eCLASS discussion tool.
