Simmons Elementary School
March 15, 2023
Dr. Robert Campman, Assistant Principal (rcampman@hhsd.org)
After a mild winter without snow days, today's school closure was unexpected. We hope everyone in Hatboro is safe and we appreciate everyone's flexibility with the change in schedule.
This week, our fifth grade students are completing the food drive by delivering the donations to the Lehman's food pantry and the Hatboro Community Cupboard. The first donation trip went smoothly yesterday. Students had the opportunity to meet some of the food pantry volunteers and learn more about how the donations will help the community. Today's trip to the Hatboro Community Cupboard will be rescheduled soon.

World Down Syndrome Day is Tuesday
On March 21st, we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by advocating for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of people with Down Syndrome around the world.
This year, Down Syndrome International has chosen the theme With Us, Not For Us. A reminder to the entire community that people with Down Syndrome need to be a part of the work being done to secure them the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. #NothingWithUsWithoutUs
We invite you all to join us in celebrating this special occasion by “Rocking your Socks.” All staff and students are encouraged to show your support and appreciation for individuals with Down Syndrome by wearing your most colorful, fun socks!
