4th Annual College and Career Fair: On Tuesday, Sept. 17, the Classroom of the Future Foundation (CFF) and San Diego County Office of Education hosted its Fourth Annual College and Careers Pathway Summit at National University's Spectrum Center, and it was a great chance for education, business, and nonprofit leaders in our region to explore delivering college and career readiness for our students. Mike Fasulo, President and COO of Sony Electronics and several other industry experts shared ideas for how the classrooms of today can prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow. They agreed that it is our moral imperative to ensure that students leave us with hope, purpose, and a plan. Inspirational ideas! According to these experts, skills necessary for the future workforce are:
- Use of new forms of communication
- Innovation through diversity and inclusion
- Data driven problem solving
- Teamwork evolves to collaboration and networking
- Workplace context and cultural sensitivity
Thought provoking ideas- how well are we preparing our students for future success?

DEVOLSON! Are you feeling it? Late September, October, and November is traditionally one of the most difficult times of the year for students and ESPECIALLY for teachers. If you are feeling added stress and exhaustion right now, you are not alone! Remember the importance of self-care, and think about ways that we can support each other and lift each other up until we get to the winter holidays!
