A Peek Into Our Week
Literacy
Math
This week students will continue to experiment with measures of capacity and volume. As children pour materials such as water, sand, and dried beans into and between containers of different sizes and shapes, they naturally begin to make comparisons of capacity. It is fun to observe children during centers with materials at the sensory table. They often pour contents from one container into another to see which holds more. Sometimes they try to fit one container inside another. This activity promotes exploration, thinking, and discovery.
