NEWSLETTER | TERM 2 | WEEK 8 | 17 JUNE 2022

Rebecca Clarke | Principal
Dear parent and caregivers,
As we come to the end of Week 8, I want to say a big thank you to all the staff for everything they do. As a team they go above and beyond, and it does not go unnoticed!
On Wednesday I visited Mater Dei College in Edgewater and met with the Principal, Mrs Annette Morey. Mater Dei College is a co-educational Catholic College established in 1993. The College offers a supportive and enriching educational environment for students in Years 7-12, based on the pillars of Faith, Community, Service and Learning. I would recommend a tour of the College if you are considering sending your child to Mater Dei for their secondary education. As a special treat for our students, the College will be showcasing their school with a special assembly on Friday, 12 August at 11am.
Semester One Reports are being finalised and will be made available via SEQTA Engage to parents on Thursday, June 30. Please see the letter below highlighting some important information for all parents in Year 1 to 6 regarding understanding the Semester Reports.
Good luck to the selected Year 3 to 6 students who will be representing our school for the first time at the Interschool Cross Country on Friday! This is the start of many athletic events the students will participate in and represent St Elizabeth’s. Thank you to Mrs Clarkson for organising and preparing the students.
A reminder that students are not to be on the school grounds unattended until 8:15am. As a school our duty of care begins at this time, not before, as staff are busy preparing for the day. Thank you for your support.
Finally, this weekend the St Anthony of Padua Parish, Wanneroo will be celebrating their 90th Annual Festival and Procession. As members of this community, I encourage everyone to come and walk through the festival of food and activities and join us as we represent St Elizabeth’s in the procession. Remember to wear your school uniform to represent the school.
Have a wonderful weekend!
God bless
Rebecca Clarke

Congratulations to all of our Year 6 students who made the Sacrament of Confirmation last weekend. Fr Peter Whitley and Fr Peter Porteous were very impressed with the reverence of our students and their knowledge about the sacrament. Thank you to Chris Reberio and Caitlyn Irwin for preparing our Confirmation candidates. All of our students looked very happy and were dressed beautifully for their big day.

Fr Peter or Fr Leonard will present the candidates with a gift from the parish and their certificate. You can attend any of these masses.

Uniform Reminder
2022 School Photographs - save the date!
Your childs 'shootkey' for ordering will be sent home next term.

Is your child on a waiting list to see a Paediatrician?
Our school has no association or affiliation with this clinic. We noted the opening of this service and thought it might an option for families to investigate if they are on long waitlists to see specialists.

See you at our School's Open Classrooms!
The school has a number of exciting events planned for the end of term and we encourage parents to support the events and take these opportunities to gather as a community, particularly for Open Classrooms afternoon!
