Sounds A Little Fishy To Me! End of Year Kindergarten Play

Please plan to be at Southside on Tuesday May 24 at 1:30 for our end of year Kindergarten Play. We hope to have the audience seated by 1:15 ready for a 1:30 start. The children have worked very hard to learn the songs and on their fish- themed t-shirts. They are excited to share with you as an entire grade level.

Indianapolis Children's Museum

Thank you to all 14 chaperones who helped make our trip to the Indianapolis Children's Museum such a success. The children had a wonderful time visiting with their friends.

In Reading this week, we read stories about fish and underwater creatures, including The Rainbow Fish and Swimmy. We also read Fish Faces and wondered why fish look so different. We learned about the different zones in the ocean too.

In Writing, we wrote and illustrated silly sentences, trying to remember to capitalize the first letter of each sentence and add punctuation to the end.

In Math, we have been working on reviewing and practicing a wide range of Kindergarten skills, adding and subtracting, as well as working on number recognition, puzzles, and games.

If you have not yet returned your Kindergarten Reading Record and accompanying books, please return them Monday. The Reading Record will be returned to you but the books are needed for next year's students :)
