Announcements from Mr. Karmazin, Principal

Learning is happening daily in the Bryan Middle School Remote learning environment! The students and teachers are becoming masters of learning and teaching in a new environment. Everyone is showing a commitment to continuing a top tier education. I am impressed!

The remote learning environment looks and feels different than traditional in person learning; however, our teachers have evolved their practice to engage and assess students. You will see teachers utilizing tools like NearPod, OneNote, Padlet, and Teams to reach all learners. I encourage you to talk with your students daily asking them:

  • What did you learn in class today?
  • What do you do if you have questions?
  • How did you participate in class today?

In addition, we appreciate your support through this learning process. It is with your partnership that we help make all students successful. Please continue to encourage your student to be on TEAMS for the entire instructional period. On top of this, encourage your student to participate appropriately during the entire instructional period. This participation includes responding to staff prompts. Teachers are asking questions to guide instruction, and lack of participation can have a negative impact on student’s academic performance.

Finally, this week students progress reports are being sent home. We highly encourage you to monitor your student’s grades to help us ensure that work is being completed. If a student needs additional support, encourage them to email the teacher and visit the teacher during the daily office hours. The office hours are from 10:45 to 11:30 and 2:45 to 3:05 daily. We view this time as additional support, and would love to see 100% of our students entering teachers office hours. Together we will ensure success for all Bryan Middle School Students.

    Have a great week!
    Mr. Karmazin

Sr. Karmazin
