Net Neutrality? by Jade Hebbert, GrassBurr Editor in Chief
"Technology pulses through the modern world as an irreplaceable asset in our daily lives. Arguably, technology has altered every aspect of our generation, one that hasn’t lived in a world without the endless information of the internet available at a finger’s touch, leading us to often take for granted the accessibility of this luxury. However, the basic principle of internet equality is now being tested with the Federal Communications Commission’s repeal of the Net Neutrality bill."

News From The Hoop
The Lady Roos rolled into Abilene High hoping to secure a playoff spot last Friday night, and they did just that. Ugly may be the word to describe the game, but a win is a win when it comes to making the playoffs.
The Lady Roos came back from 10 down early in the first to go in at half tied 19-19. And it was back and forth the whole second half, but the Lady Roos held on to win 37-35 in what may have been confused with a rugby match at certain points in the game.
Anna Jefferson-Polk, Gabbie Huggins, and Kara Rothrock lead the way with 11,10, and 10 a piece.
The win guarantees the Lady Roos 3rd place in district, but if the lady Roos can pull off another win over Keller Tuesday night at home they will take second in district!
Tuesday night, Feb 6th is Senior Night at 6pm at the Outback. Come say farewell to our 5 seniors.

The Boys JV2 tied Timber Creek at home last Friday to start an exciting night. The JV1 Team tied 1-1 off a goal from Brandon Renteria.
The Varsity game Started with the National Anthem belted out by none other than our own WHS cheerleader Mariah Frazier. The Roos fought back from a 1-0 deficit to rally and take a 2-1 lead at half. Goals were scored by Alex Rodriguez and Levi Duvall. In the second half, the Falcons scratched together a couple of goals early and were able to hold off the Roos in a tremendous half.
