National Art Honor Society
Members of the National Art Honor Society stopped by Homeward Bound Animal Shelter to spend time reading to the dogs.
Hearing students read books and stories calms the dogs and makes them more comfortable around people, which may help them find forever homes more easily. Some View Art students have also created portraits that are sent home with the dogs as they are adopted.
Members of the National Art Honor Society again participated in the Memory Project.
NAHS students created portraits for students facing struggles in other countries. This year's portraits were sent to Nigeria, where children are overcoming poverty and violence from militants in the north of the country. The portraits help the children understand that other people around the world are thinking of them.
