FPBS Friday Footnotes
November 19th, 2021
Dear FPBS Community,
It was another successful week of learning at FPBS!
Throughout the week, students continued to be exposed to so many wonderful learning opportunities. Students took part in activities such as neighborhood walks to find the circumference of a tree, fossil digs, cave art, and creating gravity paintings.
We wanted to thank all of the parents and guardians who participated in our Parent-Teacher Conferences. A strong home-school partnership is vital for all of our students to reach their full potential as learners. Outside of these conferences, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher or an administrator here at FPBS.
As a reminder, on November 24th, we will be conducting our annual Early Dismissal Drill. The dismissal times for students are as follows:
K, 1st, 2nd, & Primary Students- 3:00 PM Dismissal
3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th Students- 3:15 PM Dismissal
We want to wish the entire FPBS community a Happy Thanksgiving!
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Mr. DeKams

PTA Membership Information
The Floral Park-Bellerose School needs your support. Not only does more memberships support PTA advocacy efforts, allowing Nassau county more votes on state and national PTA issues, it allows the FPBS PTA to contribute to the school’s positive environment (suggested donations such as a book vending machine to support the school’s PBIS program), host many great programs throughout the year (such as the Book Fair) and conduct many great fundraisers (like the pie sale). While Covid restrictions have limited some in-person programs we are looking forward to using funds to make this school year fun, safe and productive!
And remember, being a member does not obligate you to go to meetings or serve on a committee.
This is the place to join!
