Reminder: Masks Required at School and on the Bus
Tardy Notifications
Classes begin at 7:45 am. Students who want breakfast should arrive to school by 7:30 to ensure time for breakfast before the school day begins.
Before & After-School Programs
We have many activities starting up next week! Just a reminder, due to bus driver shortages, we will only have after-school activities transportation on Mondays & Wednesday each week; however, activities will happen Monday - Friday. Students staying after on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays will either need a ride or walk home after the programs. There are three activity bus routes available, check here and click on the routes to see which bus drop-off location is closest to your home and make sure your student knows which bus to take home if they stay after for activities. Staff will be available at the buses to help students.
Also, please note that for the following activities: Chess Club, Strategic Game Club, Run Club, Soccer, Tennis, and Ultimate Frisbee, you MUST register online here.
All Registrations are handled online through the Mounds View Community Education Website and SPOTS ARE LIMITED. If you are interested in an activity you may attend the first practice but you MUST be registered to attend in the future. Please connect with Mr. Van House or Ms. Gosselin if you have any questions or need assistance with registration fees.

EPAT (EW PARENTS AND TEACHERS)
EPAT Information
Edgewood Parents & Teachers (EPAT) is an organization in which parents, as well as Edgewood (EW) teachers and administration work together to help meet the needs of the EW students and staff. This includes funding for EPAT-sponsored student events, providing grants to teachers for items not covered in the school's budget, and staff appreciation events.
We understand that not all families may be in a position to give right now, but if you have the means, please consider a direct donation to EPAT. There are several ways to contribute, but direct donation maximizes the dollars available to support our students and teachers! Here are our current fundraisers:
- Direct Donation
- Send it via U.S. mail to:
Edgewood Middle School, Attn: EPAT
5100 Edgewood Drive, Mounds View, MN 55112 - Shannon Mildenberger is available at Edgewood to receive donations in person
- Donate online:
o Venmo information (see below)
- Send it via U.S. mail to:
- Amazon Smile (Group Name: Edgewood Middle School PTO)
- Tasteocracy (Group Name: Edgewood Parents and Teachers PTO Group)
If you would like more information or are willing to volunteer your time to support the EW community, got to our website at https://www.moundsviewschools.org/edgewood or please contact margaret.meyer@moundsviewschools.org or lockwood.kimberly@gmail.com.

COVID-19 Testing Opportunities
The Minnesota Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control strongly recommend that unvaccinated students participate in weekly screening for COVID-19 and that all individuals get tested when they’re experiencing symptoms. We are pleased to be able to offer access to a variety of options for screening testing for our families:
- COVID-19 test at home: Order a free test through the state’s at-home COVID-19 testing program. Tests are delivered quickly right to your home.
- COVID-19 community testing: Walk in or schedule an appointment at one of the free, no-barrier testing sites.
- Find testing locations: Find many local and free opportunities here, including options for drive-up testing.
- The District also has a supply of tests that can be made available to students. For more information about this option, please contact the COVID Coordinator at your child’s school.
