Hanabaddah Dayz Bakery
by Ms. Chante Galton
Hanabaddah Dayz is a home based, food safety certified bakery serving scrumptious sweets and savory snacks since 2019. The name "Hanabaddah Dayz" was our chosen brand name because we wanted to share our childhood flavors and dishes with the next generation.
Some of you may have already had an opportunity to try our treats.
It is common for Hanabaddah Dayz to make appearances at Hale'iwa Elementary School in the front office, school events or a class party. We are most known for our Chantilly Brownies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Spicy Ahi Inari. We love creating new recipes and sharing it with others. Taste testing is our favorite! Are you a foodie, too?
Want to order something? Follow Hanabaddah Days on Instagram and order something from Haleʻiwa Elementay's own small business owner, Ms. Chante: https://www.instagram.com/hanabaddahdayz/

Tiny Houses by Cali Farren
There are many reasons why people choose to live in tiny houses. People live in tiny houses in order to save money, clean less, and move from place to place.
First, people live in tiny houses because it's cheaper than regular houses (source 2, paragraph 4, sentence 3). For example, it saves money by using less energy. Since it is smaller and it takes less time to heat or cool (source2, paragraph 6, sentence 3).
Next, it will take less time to clean up because when you have a tiny house than you just have to clean a little (source 2, paragraph 5, sentence 1). Also, people don't buy as much because they don't have room for so much stuff (source 2, paragraph 7, sentence 5). For example, if you clean up fast and you have only a little to clean up then you can do anything you want (source 2, paragraph 5, sentence 3).
Finally, you can take your tiny house anywhere because some tiny houses are built on wheels (source 2, paragraph 2, sentence 2). For example, people can use trucks to move the tiny houses around (source 2, paragraph 2, sentence 3).
Now you know why people choose to live in tiny houses.
The Prison Escape By Rainier Reynolds
One very rainy and cloudy night in prison, a 40 year old prisoner named Jeremy woke up. Why may you ask? He wanted to finish his deep hole that went out of his cold cell.
"Yes!’ he whispered, "I am free!"
Swoosh! Drip, drop, drip, drop, goes the rain. Slam!!!
"Oh no, the guard’s awake!" He quickly but quietly crawled back to his cold, damp cell and pretended to be in a deep sleep and when the guard left he crawled back out of his cramped cell. The chase had begun!
He ran to the city. He ran swiftly and found his friend Bailey. She was a fortune teller. He gave her $5 and whispered in a hurry, "Tell me my future."
"The police will capture you,” she warned, in an old crooked voice.
He did not listen and he ran away. But she secretly called the police. They came slowly to the door and peeked inside. They saw him running right towards them and then, as soon as Jeremy opened the old rusty iron door, they yelled, "You are under arrest!"
So, they arrested him...again.
"Ahhh!" I need to get out of here!" he exploded. “Come on, even Bailey is not on my side,” he complained.
Sound of footsteps. Tap tap tap tap. "I can't dig a hole. There are iron floors," he thought to himself. “I can’t unlock the cell. There are big guards that stand outside of my cell. They also have night shifts,” he murmured. Sniff, sniff. He cries.
(10 years later) He was thrilled to get released and he lived a long and happy life. After he was released he found a wife named Misty and had two kids: one boy and one girl, named Ray and Allison. A few months later he actually joined the police as a new job.
Sadly, two weeks later Bailey (the fortune teller) died.
