FIHS Weekly Update

What's Happening this Week: January 10, 2023

Final exams in all courses will be administered on Tuesday, January 10 and Wednesday, January 11. The last day of the semester is Thursday, January 12. All late work and assignments must be turned in by this date.


No school for students on Friday, January 13 due to Professional Development Day.

There is no school for students on Monday, January 16, MLK Day.


The Spring semester begins on Tuesday, January 17. Students will receive their new class schedules Tuesday morning in 1st block. Please check your Backpack account for Spring semester class schedule.

Meet the Teacher Night

Come meet your child's new teachers for the Spring semester on January 31, 2023 starting at 6PM. Plan to follow your child's new schedule to spend time meeting the teachers, seeing the classroom spaces, and learning about the new courses your child is enrolled in next semester.

Seat Time Recovery

Students are required to meet seat time requirements in all classes to receive credit for the course. No more than 5 Unexcused Absences are allowed in each class each semester. Parents may write notes to excuse up to 5 absences for each class. Students who exceed the allowed amount of Unexcused Absences will not receive credit for the course at the end of the semester.


Seat time may be recovered before school, after school, and during Saturday School.
