Feel the Love!
I’ve mentioned this to Ella and Amelia’s teachers, but also want to thank you both for working so hard behind the scenes keeping things as normal as possible for the Trantwood community. It’s the little things during this time that have mattered for us...morning announcements, the videos from Ms. Bailey and Ms. Lane on their art and music days, they light up when they see their teachers and classmates on class chats. We’ve transformed our dining room (that we never used) into a classroom and the girls added things to the walls just like they would see at school and in their classrooms. They even asked their new teacher if she would start giving out Cardinal Code rewards...we will start that on Monday. I’ve really enjoyed seeing them transform our house into Trantwood. Thank you for building such a wonderful school community.
Thinking of you all as you navigate this new adventure.

PL Days and shifting from Continuity of Learning to Virtual Learning
Beginning on Monday, April 6th until the close of the school year, we will be changing all Mondays to a professional learning (PL) day for staff and maintaining Tuesday through Friday for teachers to engage with students via established office hours, email, phone call, and virtual communications.
Additionally, in an effort to support teachers in developing appropriate, daily instruction for students in an online environment, and continue doing so for the remainder of the year, Mondays will be dedicated to PL for teachers to learn more about and practice developing asynchronous and synchronous learning opportunities for students.
Our continuity of learning plan will transition to a virtual learning model starting April 27.
More information on the transition to virtual learning is also forthcoming.

Grading
For the third quarter, grades will be calculated based on a student’s grade as of March 13. That said, students also can improve their third quarter grade by completing missing assignments and assessments that would have normally been allowed had the quarter continued with schools open.
Decisions about how grading will be handled for the fourth quarter marking period are forthcoming.
Thank you Brandi. This one definitely captures how our hearts feel!
