Malala Yousafzai- The Girl Who Stood Up For Education and Was Shot By the Taliban

Malala Yousafzai's life changed forever on October 9, 2012. While riding on a school bus, she was shot by a follower of the terrorist group called the Taliban. Since she was advocating for girls education and rights, Malala was a main target for the Taliban. After being shot, she didn't let that stop her from speaking out. How the time period cause or effect the adversity Malala faced is that the other people in Pakistan didn't want to speak out or help Malala because they were afraid that they would be killed by the Taliban or targeted. Malala believes that "One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world." A few years later, a non-profit organization named the Malala Fund was created. The organization also advocates for equality, empowering girls, and education for all. What we can learn from Malala Yousafzai's experience is to never give up and don't let other people stop you from achieving your dreams or stop what you believe in.
