Inspirational Quote of the Week
Housekeeping
- First and last 10 minutes of class. Please do not allow students to leave your classroom during the first and last time minutes of class. If the office needs a student they'll send a pass for them.
- Mark students tardy. The number of students in the hallways after the bell and the number of lunch detentions assigned do not match. We won;t change the behavior if there is no consequence for the behavior.
Wolf Howls
Grimes howls out to Brooke Shuster for sharing her vocabulary strategies in PLC!
Shout out to our teachers for being the best at what they do and bringing out the best in each of our students.
Reminder Progress Report 8: Bucket opens Friday, May 5 and closes Tuesday, May 9th.
Wolf Howl to Lisa Gallagher for all her help with Filing. Thank you, Lisa from the counseling office.
Grimes howls out to Brendon for doing such an amazing job with STAAR testing! So well organized!
Jennifer S. sends out a supportive howl to Linda M. for helping keep our students in line this week! You are a great team player!
A HUGE howl for Jackson and Carpenter for helping this week monitor the kids and creating STAAR reviews for over 100 kids in a single class period in the silver gym.
Jennifer S. sends out a biology howl to Trish for re-creating a more rigorous Frog Dissection lab!
Laney sends a banshee-level, SCREAMING howl out to Stephanie Chance, Alex Fingers, Barbara Swartz, Michael Schilleci, and Kristi Wagner for helping coordinate 8th grade STAAR Reading tutorials this week. As a whole, our "bubble" kids are so much more prepared for their retests! If our students knew Wolf Howls existed, they would say, "Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!"
Laney sends another vicious howl to Barbara Swartz, Shannon Jones, and Callie Massey for putting in tireless (truly back-breaking hours for Barbara) to prepare our students for the musical! Y'all have to go see the final product. Does everyone know how incredibly talented our students are?!
Finally, Laney sends the most beastly of howls out to all of our coaches. Having been in their shoes with spring football practice just one year ago, it is practically a miracle for those coaches to put in the hours they do and still be such great role models and teachers for our students every day. It gets harder every year, and they keep rising to the occasion. Whether our community says it adequately or not, these folks are heroes every day.
Barbara S. sends an "oh the thinks you can think" howl at Shannon J. for getting Barbara back into her music groove. She couldn't have asked for a better re-introduction!
Barbara S. howls a daring howl at Tabetha W. for her willingness to jump in and try a CAP activity with her students the very next week after it was introduced in PLC! #thewolfway
Erin howls out to Bridget for cutting, pasting and creating a rigorous page of problems for her kiddos. She saved Erin hours of work!! Thank you Bridget!!
Barbara S. sends a creative howl at Hailey S. for finding a lesson idea to utilize those annoying spinners! Our 6th graders LOVED it!
Beverly sends an appreciative Howl to Bridget for surprising me with a very needed item for scantrons that was decorated cute, cute, cute!!! Made my day!!!
