the soul would have no rainbows if the eyes had no tears - tribe unknown
I think the proverb above means if you are never sad or never cry you will never be able to the light. You will not be able to be very happy. Also, if you have at least one tear drop then you know there will be many days of happier times/moments.
We will be known forever by the tracks we leave. - Dakota
The proverb above means what we do today can have a huge impact on what we do later on in the future. It can affect what we do in twenty years or even tomorrow. When we do something that is not the best choice we think once it is over everybody will forget and we will not remember anything. Some things stay with us for a lifetime.
There is no death, only a change of worlds. - Duwamish
The proverb above means you never die, you just change your point of view. You are enlightened when you die. You become something new but at the same time old. Dying rejuvenates the soul and everything changes.
Wisdom comes only when you stop looking for it and start living the life the Creator intended for you. - Hopi
The proverb above means if you only look and not do or feel you will not find. When you only look, you look at the details instead at looking at the whole thing in a broad view. Everything is so much more clear when you don't look, but feel.
A man must make his own arrows. - Winnebago
The proverb above means you have to do things for yourself. If you never do anything for yourself and the person who has been taking care of you left what would you do? You would be clueless and wish that you had learned how to work for yourself. Life would be a tunnel with no light at the end, only darkness. Your life would be like a perplex person trying to figure out a humongous Rubik's cube.
God gives us each a song. - Ute
The proverb above means we are each unique individuals. Everybody has their own story to tell. Everybody has their own purpose in the world. The song mentioned in the proverb above means path. G-d gives us each a path. A path to goodness, a path to being a hero, a path to standing up in what you believe in. Each path is different.
