Education Foundation Grants to Educators -- Apply Now!
The Plano ISD Education Foundation has launched our 2019-2020 Grants to Educators Application. We encourage you to share this email with all of your teachers. The deadline for teachers to submit an application is September 20. For those teachers new to PISD, the Plano ISD Education Foundation funds over 120 grants and gifts over $125,000 each year to the teachers of Plano ISD. We are looking for innovative, fun ideas from our teachers that align with the PISD 2019-2023 Strategic Plan. Find out more about the 2018 winning grants by reading their summaries. The application is available via pisd.communityforce.com.
Here are some quick tips:
1. Never applied before? Toggle through the application to see what all is involved before your apply.
2. New this year: Proposed programs and grant requests must align with the goals outlined in the 2019-2023 Strategic Plan.
3. Find a previous grant winner and ask them for pointers.
4. Attend training on September 12th to learn more about the application process. Visit Grants to Educators page or CLICK HERE to sign up for a training date. (Training is optional. The application platform is somewhat intuitive so you may want to login before signing up for training.)
5. Questions: CLICK HERE to submit your question.
Once teachers submit an application, their corresponding principal will be notified. Please allow 24 hours for notification to be processed. The deadline for principals to approve the grant application is September 27.
Application instructions with screenshots are attached. We will also provide training for applicants on September 12th. Visit the Grants to Educators page for up-to-date information during the process.
