So "Panther Cub Proud" of them!
Bravo to MWES November Family Attendance Tracker Winners!
These students' families also received a $50 gift card! Way to go!
In November, we sent home a family attendance tracker. Families put a tally for each day the student was at school in November. Students returned the completed trackers in November and everyone who returned the tracker was entered in a drawing for a gift card. These students are our winners!
Thank you for sending your children to school when they are not sick. Attendance is important in our efforts to decrease chronic absenteeism and to make sure that we earn full accreditation this year. We can do it with your help!
Please assist us as we approach the holiday season by ensuring that your child is present in class and making the most of their scheduled breaks for vacations. We know uncontrollable events like emergencies and illnesses happen. Please keep sending your children to school on the other days!
Our chronic absence numbers by grade level are as follows. Chronic absence means that these are students who have been absent at least 10% of the school year so far.
PK - 31%
(Ms. Tyler - 39%; Ms. Smith - 33%; Ms. Sasz - 27%; Ms. Morris - 10%)
Kindergarten - 22%
(Ms. Chamblin (K/1) - 21%; Ms. Smith - 12%; Ms. Cracknell - 11%; Ms. Riley - 10%)
First Grade - 13%
Second Grade -13%
Third Grade - 7%
Fourth Grade -11%
Fifth Grade - 9%
PK and Kinder, we need your help! Please reach out to our parent liaison, Ms. Hernandez, or one of our school counselors, Ms. Young or Ms. Simmons, if you need assistance!
Thank you so much for your support!
