Engima Machine
The Enigma machine is a machine invented by the Germans and used to break the german codes by Britain codebreakers during World War Two. The information gained by using this technology was important in World War Two.
How it works
The Enigma Machine codes a message with a basic cipher.every letter is replaced by another letter from the alphabet .The Enigma Machine accomplishes this substitution by a load of electrical connections that are hidden inside. Next , these connections are placed in a set of rotors, changing the electrical connections . This is what made the Enigma code so difficult to crack - it meant that every letter in a message was coded using a diffrent code, because the rotors would rotate after every letter was added.
