*An e-mail similar to the message below went to Seniors & Parents earlier today
Traditionally, high schools across the country pick a date in early May to designate as "Decision Day." This is a day to celebrate the decisions that you have made for life after high school. Liberty will be hosting Decision Day on Wednesday, May 5th. This is an event to celebrate EVERY senior's decision, not just those planning to attend university. Above is a flyer advertising the event, using pictures of our last in-person Decision Day. ((Note: some of you may be really stressed out right now because you haven't made a decision yet. If you need my help to make plans, email me and we can set an appointment. If you are deciding between options, you can still post a pennant with the option that you are leaning toward))

American Legion Auxiliary Girls State of Missouri
Three Wentzville School District juniors have been selected to attend the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State of Missouri. One student was chosen from each WSD high school; Hanna Flacke (Holt), Sanjana Anand (Liberty), and Nora Pryor (Timberland- Yes, our Mr. Pryor's daughter!).
Missouri Girls State delegates are selected based on their leadership abilities, interest in government, service to others, and academics. The 2021 session of Missouri Girls State is scheduled to be held on the campus of the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in Warrensburg June 20-26.
Nearly 1,600 high school marketing students from across the state competed in the annual Missouri DECA State Career Development Conference, which was held virtually March 8-19 this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After successful results in their competitions, 40 WSD students will compete in the DECA International Career Development Conference, which will take place virtually this year, April 24-27.
Students competed as individuals or in teams in a variety of categories and created a video response to realistic workplace problems, which were evaluated by more than 150 business and industry professionals who serve as competitive events judges. DECA’s industry-validated competitive events are aligned with the National Curriculum Standards in the career clusters of marketing, business management and administration, finance, and hospitality and tourism. The following LHS students have qualified for the International DECA competition:

Swofford Game Information 2021
It’s the time of year when we are usually getting ready for our annual Seniors vs. Faculty Scott Swofford Memorial Basketball game.
I know, I know… you’ve been dreaming of seeing Mr. Schumacher dunk on a senior, Mr. Cole throw some ‘bows on the court, and Mrs. Gerringer do those high kicks during the half-time performance… and you are not alone. However, I’m sure you will not be surprised to hear that, sadly, there will be no basketball game this year.
But! Dry your eyes, because we are still hosting an event to raise money for those senior scholarships, and keep the competitive Swofford Game spirit alive. Check out the deets:

Senior Finals & EOC Block Schedule
9th - 11th Finals Schedule
AP Exam Schedule
- Students, PLEASE park in your assigned parking spot. If someone is in your spot, notify Mrs. McCain (in Guidance) and park in the visitor section.
We are starting to collect parking pass applications for the 21-22 school year. We will need the attached application (below), $30.00, proof of insurance, and proof of a driver's license to pre-assign a parking spot for the next school year. Applications are also available on Mrs. McCain's desk in guidance. We will be collecting applications until May 10th.
Spots will be randomly assigned with Seniors getting priority, followed by Juniors, then Sophomores. Applications should be turned in to the Guidance office. Students must be 16 years old and have a license when applying for a spot. Please contact Dr. Kiesel at email@example.com with any questions.
LHS students have reported difficulty in finding "Liberty High School" on the high school list when creating their ACT accounts. We are working to correct an error on their website with not being able to find our school when searching by city. In the meantime, you can find Liberty by searching for the school by zip code. Liberty's zip code is 63367. It is CRUCIAL that you add Liberty to your account, otherwise we will not be able to access your scores or add them to your transcript for college admissions and consideration for scholarships.
You can register for an upcoming ACT at www.act.org/bts. Upcoming ACT test dates: Jun 12 & Jul 17.
Also, just a reminder that if you are having a hard time getting registered for the ACT, or the only test centers that have seats available are far away, there is another college admissions test option: the SAT. Every college in the US accepts both the ACT and SAT (there is no preference). Liberty is an SAT test site. You can register for an upcoming SAT test at www.collegeboard.org. Upcoming SAT test dates: May 8 & Jun 5.
Please contact Mrs. Gerringer our College and Career Counselor and A+ Coordinator.
