the amazon rain forest is the world's biggest rain forest. it's larger than the next two largest rain forests combined.
The amazon is called the "lungs of the earth" because 20% of the world's oxygen is produced by the amazon.
There are over 10 million species in the Amazon Rain Forest. 10%of the world's known species live in the Amazon.
Animals
The amazon is home to over 10 million species of plants and animals including piranhas, giant anteaters, jaguars, electric eels, pink river dolphins, etc.
The Amazon River
The Amazon river is 6,400 km long! It's the second longest river is the world, right after the Nile river.
Where is it?
The Amazon is in South America, stretching across Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.

You should go to the amazon because you get to experience a once in a life time vacation. You will see animals and plants in the the wild. You can also see the river by taking a river cruise. You will have so much fun and you will enjoy it.
